You don't have to be scared to travel being gluten free, here are some great food options for you!

Haley and family in front of matterhorn mountain at Disneyland

Here's my cute family the firs day we got to Disneyland! My younger siblings had never been, so we figured we would take them for a trip during mine and my husband's spring break.

My mom and I are gluten free, so I spent some time before hand preparing and researching where and what we could eat. So here are some of the best things I found.

Meals

Haley and family eating lunch

Over in California Adventure, Smokejumper's Grill has a large menu of allergy friendly meals that the chefs are always willing. It ranges anywhere from a gluten allergy to an egg allergy! This picture is of me eating a double cheese burger on a gluten free bun with designated gluten free fries.

This meal was absolutely delicious and definitely one of my favorites!

Three chicken tacos with rice and beans

At Rancho Del Zocalo there was not a very obvious gluten free menu, but on the Gluten Free and the Mouse website, I saw that the trio tacos and the half chicken were both gluten free options.

I got the half chicken (sorry for not having a picture, I guess I was too hungry to think of taking one!) and my mom got the trio tacos. The half chicken is absolutely delicious and the chicken tacos were my favorite out of the trio!

Gluten free grilled cheese and tomato soup

The Jolly Holiday Bakery and Cafe was another one of my favorite meals from my trip. I have always been a fan of Disneyland grilled cheese, so I'm sure you can imagine my excitement when I found out they had a gluten free option!

The soup is gluten free and they have gluten free buns for the sandwich.

Now onto some of my other favorites, the snacks!

Snacks

Dole whip in front of Disneyland castle

You can't go to Disneyland without getting some dole whip! This delicious treat is a great way to feel refreshed and have a little pick me up. And even better: it's naturally gluten free!

strawberry shortcake shake

The Gluten Free Palate was another great resource for me since I wanted to see what treats would be safe to eat.

At the Smokejumper's Grill, they had a seasonal strawberry shortcake shake that I got without the cake to make it gluten free. It was fabulous. The fresh strawberries were fantastic and the perfect treat.

Toddler with Mickey sucker

And finally, the Mickey suckers are always gluten free!
