Do you love to travel but are scared that you won't have food that you can eat when you get there? Me too. So let me fill you in on a few of my little tricks.

Who doesn't love traveling with friends and family!? New adventures and site seeing are by far some of my favorite things to do on vacation.

But when you have celiac disease, finding food can be a bit stressful when you're not sure what's safe to eat.

So, I've compiled a list of the top three things that I do to make sure I'll never go hungry!

Research the area

The very first thing I always do is make sure I've researched where I'll be going to see if I can find any gluten free places or options close by.

One of the best apps you can get for this, besides maps of course, is the Find Me Gluten Free app. This lets you put in your destination and it gives you pins on the map where you can find gluten free options!

Not only does this save a ton of time, but it's nice to have everything right at your finger tips!

Come prepared

One of the most important things to do when planning a trip, is to be OVER prepared. And I don't mean packing extra underwear, I mean bringing your own food.

There's nothing worse than waking up and expecting a nice relaxing breakfast and then quickly realizing the only gluten free option is an old bruised apple.

So, what's the best way to plan ahead? Invest in an insulated bag to store all of your food you bring.

I would recommend using a decently large bag so you can bring any kind of food you think you may want or need.

Treat yo self, book an airbnb

Who doesn't love staying in a nice hotel?

I definitely do! But when you have celiac, having some sort of kitchen during your stay is almost crucial.

Airbnb is a great place to find good deals and find any utilities you want or need (especially a kitchen).

If you have some sort of kitchen, kitchenette, or even a hot plate, you can make yourself food even if there weren't options out on the town.

So if you're planning on going on a trip anytime soon, try out these tricks and see if it helps you enjoy it even more!
