Food brands, cooking essentials and more

Eating gluten free is already hard enough, but what makes it even worse is trying to figure out what things are safe to eat.
When you go completely off of gluten, going through your pantry and fridge can be discouraging since most of your favorite things have some type of gluten. So, here are some things I have found that have made things better for me and hopefully will make it better for you as well!
Mom's Place Gluten-Free

Mom's Place is amazing. Based in Spanish Fork, Utah, the family who runs this is gluten free and they offer hundreds of food mixes. They range from dinner, desserts, breads, noodles, seasonings, and flour.
I've used Mom's Place meals for a little over 3 years and I can honestly say that every single thing I have tried has been amazing!
Here are a few of my favorites that I have eaten from here:
On the left are the "I can't believe these aren't wheat!" rolls, middle is the thanksgiving stuffing (for the holiday that's just around the corner), and on the right is the chicken gnocchi soup.
Each mix comes with most of the stuff you need, the only things you need to add would usually be the meat, milk, and salt and pepper. However it does vary between mixes.
You may have to cook these yourself, but you will be so happy with the results.
Feel Good Foods

Feel Good Foods is another completely gluten free company, but these are freezer ready meals. The owner was diagnosed with celiac and wanted to make things that aren't very common finds for gluten free food.
There are a few places where they sells food the most, over websites such as Amazon Fresh, Prime now, Fresh Direct, Instacart, The Gluten Free Mall, and Thrive Market.
Here are a few of my favorites that I have had from there:
On the left we have the Three Cheese Bites (they are pretty similar to pizza rolls), in the middle the Truffle Mac & Cheese Bites, and then on the right the Vegetable Potstickers.
Everything I have had from here has been delicious. The only downside is that they tend to have less options in smaller towns, so you might not be able to try everything they have unless you live in big cities.
Katz

I haven't had as much experience with Katz as the other two food brands, but this is another gluten free company that wanted to make more options in stores. Their main categories include foods such as desserts and pastries, breads and breakfasts, and baking mixes.
Here are some of my favorites and things that are highly rated by customers:
On the left there are the lemon creme filled cupcakes, in the middle the cinnamon doughnuts, and finally on the right the chocolate chip cookies.
Some of the products are ready to be eaten, some are precooked and stored in the freezer, and the others are meant to be made by hand. But not matter what you choose, the quality will be very good.
Nima Gluten Sensor

I want to first put out a quick disclaimer that I have not had the chance to use this, but there have been many testimonials about this product.
The Nima gluten sensor is meant to help gluten free people feel more comfortable eating food by having a sensor that can tell if there is gluten in the food. The way this works is that there is a small capsule that you put a piece of your food into and the sensor tests it for the gluten proteins and lets you know if it is safe to eat. Here is what the machine looks like:

In this picture it shows the machine, the disposable gluten capsule, and the lid that seals the gluten capsule. The face of the machine is where the test results of whether it has gluten appear. It ranges from a smiley if it's safe to a frown or "gluten found" if it is unsafe to eat.
The downside to this is the price. The sensors usually go for about $220 and the capsules are $40 for 6, and since they are meant to be disposed of after use the costs can add up.
If this is in your price range it is an amazing tool that can help out a ton! The machine is very small (can fit in your hand) and it can help you know within minutes if the food is safe.
